Exploring our journeys.

As Sikhs, we need to understand how we digressed from preaching gender equality, to practicing gender hierarchy. By exploring these journeys through advances in Sikh feminist research, Safar aims to strengthen the social activist, and community work of our present & future generations.

SAFAR, The Sikh Feminist Research Institute, has been established to cultivate Sikh feminism and to develop the theoretical analysis required to address the social, economic and political issues that have given rise to and continue to contribute to the present state of gender inequality.
